The tape was originally releases on December 21st 1990. In April 1991 John Peel played five songs of it on his radio show on BBC radio one, this pushed the sales quite a bit. The original cover was photocopied and came in six different colors. In March 1994 a new printed cover was introduced. In March 1997 the 1000th copy of the tape got sold. In celebratration of this, a limited CD-version was released in April 1997.
